I am an Assistant Professor at Willamette University in the Environmental and Earth Sciences Department. Trained as a health/medical geographer, my research focuses on three main questions: 1. What factors influence the emergence and spread of environmentally-mediated diseases? 2. How do individuals, communities, and other associated stakeholders respond to these diseases? 3. How can a mix of methods from the natural and social sciences be used to understand disease emergence?
